So we’re doing it again*. The DIY stuff. The home improvement rewarding/pain in the ass stuff. The entire day was spent with The Boyfriend and his Brother, moving furniture upstairs and moving furniture downstairs.
No mean feat, considering how teeny-narrow the staircase is, and how steep the stairs themselves are. And the fact that it’s then a ninety-degree angle that needs to be maneuvered through in order to enter the loft upstairs.
But it’s (mostly) moved now. Two super-large, extra-depth, over-stuffed sofas are now sitting in what was previously The Kid’s playroom/my office.
Soon there will be a super-large Sony Bravia television of awesomeness mounted on the dark blue wall, and a chocolate-brown leather lazy boy in between two chocolate brown sofas, which contrast beautifully with my scuba blue walls, and dark red blinds.
There’s a dark mahogany desk with space for two macbooks (for me), a desktop PC (for The Boyfriend) and a printer and various peripherals. An assortment of chunky dark, mahogany floating shelves adorn the wall on my left, as I sit at this desk.
And as I sit at this desk, and look to my left, this is what I see on those shelves:
*There’s still much to be done, upstairs, and there are a whole bunch of ideas I still want to bounce off you, but that for another day, yeah?
