The Kid is 5. Before we knew we were having another boy, he desperately wanted a big brother. While he doesn’t understand exactly how it all works, he definitely has said some really adorable things about being a brother, lately.
- “Mommy, when can I take my brother out your tummy? I want to play now.”
- “Mommy, can I put my head on your tummy and sing songs to my brother?”
- “How big is my baby brother now? When my brother comes out is he going to be a tiny little baby? Like a teeny tiny little toffee?”
- This morning, as he left with his father and I was about to leave for work, he said goodbye to me, told me he loved me and then put his face very close to my stomach and said “bye, brother. I love you, too,” very loudly.
While I’m totally okay with the nextborn being inside for another 20 weeks, I think there’s someone that’s really excited about meeting his little sibling….
