Here’s Hoping…

that it won’t be like this for much longer.

Hopefully it’ll all be over this weekend.

The walls are done. The new carpets are in. The Boyfriend is in the process of building me a new desk and we’ll be moving the couches and the tv upstairs this weekend. It’s going to be  interesting (read: probably a massive cockup), considering the huge massive overstuffed sofas I have will NOT fit up the stairs.

So it looks like we’ll be hoisting them over the balcony and praying like fuck that they fit through the balcony door. The big brown sofas will be the perfect complement/contrast/neutralising element to my red blinds, and red-and-black-wood couch and the scuba blue walls. I have this vision of red-and-white damask cushions on the sofas, and a loads of huge red pots and glass vases and white shelves filled with books. And a blue and white rug in front of the couches and a bold red rug under my desk.

And black and white portrait canvases from Jeanette, when we eventually find the time for our family photo shoot.

Now that it’s all starting to come together, The Boyfriend admitted he was a bit hasty with telling me I have no taste. I think he’s starting to see what I see.

Anyway. Here’s hoping it all turns out the way I have it in my head.

Because seriously, I don’t think I can live in this chaos for much longer.

me too! gotta say, the chaos is crazy-making for me. amazing that you can “see” it – mostly i make it up as i go along. give me the elements and i’ll put them together, i can get a little frozen going from nothing. know what i mean? anyway, kudos, grown-up girl!!!

The one thing I’ve found that makes the chaos unimportant has been 4:20 every day. I think you should come back to the club and drift away with us into a calm, happy place 😉

Still love that damn colour. *Jealous*

Good luck with the couches (and I hope they fit through the sliding doors on the balcony!!)

Looking forward to seeing the end result!
